On April 21, members and friends of the Immaculate Conception Legacy Society, along with generous supporters of seminarian education, were blessed to spend a memorable day at Sacred Heart Major Seminary.
Our visit began with Mass, where we gathered in prayer and thanksgiving for all those whose generosity helps strengthen the future of the Church. We were especially mindful of the faithful donors who support the formation of our seminarians and the many benefactors whose stewardship blesses Catholic ministries throughout the Diocese of Lansing.
Following Mass, guests enjoyed a guided tour of the seminary grounds and facilities. From the chapel to the classrooms and gathering spaces, the visit offered a meaningful glimpse into the place where future priests are being formed intellectually, spiritually, and pastorally for service to Christ and His Church.
One of the highlights of the day was a delicious catered lunch shared with diocesan seminarians. Guests had the opportunity to meet and visit with these remarkable young men who are discerning God’s call to the priesthood. Their joy, sincerity, and love for the faith were inspiring to all in attendance.
The question-and-answer session was especially memorable. Guests asked thoughtful and engaging questions that invited the seminarians to reflect deeply and share from the heart about their vocation journeys, seminary life, and hopes for future ministry. It was a rich exchange that encouraged everyone present.
At The Catholic Foundation of the Diocese of Lansing, we remain deeply grateful for the faithful men and women whose generosity supports parishes, schools, ministries, and vocations throughout our diocese. Whether through annual giving, endowed support, or planned gifts, your kindness is helping build the future of the Church.
