On Tuesday, members of the Immaculate Conception Legacy Society gathered at the beautiful St. Joseph Shrine in Brooklyn for a memorable day of prayer, fellowship, and history.
Despite the morning rain, spirits were high as we enjoyed a guided tour of the Shrine, including its rich history and beautiful grounds. The skies cleared just in time for many to walk the outdoor Stations of the Cross, a moving and prayerful experience along the lake.
A special blessing of the day was Mass celebrated by Fr. Carl Simon, a fellow Legacy Society member and former pastor of St. Joseph Shrine, who offered the intention for all Immaculate Conception Legacy Society members. Many also paused at the gravesite of the beloved Fr. Dave Hudgins, who is buried at the Shrine.
The day concluded with a delicious catered lunch and, for some, an afternoon visit to MSU Hidden Lake Gardens under clearer skies.
